Are you building a resilient organization?
Strategic leaders identify weaknesses before they are tested.
THINK ON IT: Are you building a resilient organization?
You’ve honed in on your vision. You’ve created team alignment. You’re keeping your brand promise.
But all that good work may not prepare your company for the inevitable bumps in the road yet to come. And they could be big ones. Are you building a resilient organization, one that cannot only survive but thrive because of them?
Many leaders focus on what they and their company are great at – “do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life” kind of stuff.
Don’t be that leader. Or rather, don’t be just that kind of leader.
We all know the popular StrengthsFinder mantra, “Focus on your strengths.” It’s great advice for personal growth, but it’s a disservice when applied to your business.
Strategic leaders identify weaknesses in their business before they are tested. They don’t pretend that things are better than they really are. Instead, they lead from reality.
One of the sobering realities is that there are always areas of vulnerability. Where’s yours? Are you a WeaknessFinder, actively examining the gaps in your organization and proactively building resiliency to address them?
If not, let me invite you to become one. And when the bumps come, your business with thank you.
